If you live in Taiwan, you should know that,
Sony Ericsson is opening a new flagship store in Taiwan (
Grand opening will be tomorrow, on the 10th of May).

Besides of this beautiful store, the interesting thing is the board with a list of the Sony Ericsson device prefix explanation.

From this listing we can learn the meaning of the several prefixes. It looks like that a prefix
"G" (If you remember, it's a recently announced line-up of the Sony Ericsson's new devices. The
G series were opened with couple of
UIQ smartphones:
Sony Ericsson G700 and
Sony Ericsson G900) means "Generation Web" and as you already know, it contains not only smartphones, but usual phones with enhanced capabilities for Internet usage (Like, recently announced
Sony Ericsson G502). The explanation of the
"P" is "Pro" (Frankly, I always thought that the meaning of the "P" was PDA :D looks like it's a new meaning) and good news is that there gonna be new devices from P series and it will not be replaced with
X series.
What means prefix
"X", I guess everybody already knows, it's a high-end
"XPERIA" branded line-up with most awaited,
Windows Mobile based -
Sony Ericsson X1. Prefix
"R" means Radio line-up with enhanced Radio capabilities,
"W" means old and kind
"Walkman" branded line-up and
"C" is a new line-up of the famous
"Cyber-Shot", C series were opened with couple of new handsets -
Sony Ericsson C702 and
C905. Prefix
"S" has a new meaning "Snapshot" (Old was "Slider").
"T" is a "Style" line, and at last the new prefix
"F".
Depending on this list, unannounced prefix "F" means "FUN" and looks like its opening expected in June on the Singapore event, but what exactly means FUN for Sony Ericsson I don't know. Maybe it's a combination of the music, photo shooting/video recording and web browsing, or maybe it's even gaming? Maybe it's an upcoming gaming platform like
Nokia's "
N-gage" or even long awaited
PSP Phone (Or PSPhone)... Hmmm, I don't know :) I guess we need to wait and see...
Anyway, for me, new brand names and new series are only welcome (especially from Sony Ericsson), because it brings some novelties and the novelties is what we always need.

The Sony Ericsson T270 and T280 are set to delight style-oriented everyday users and demanding professionals alike.
Delhi, India – 24th January 2008 – Sony Ericsson today announced the launch of the T270 and T280, a stylish duo of affordably priced phones set to appeal to differing audiences.
“We have developed two phones that meet the needs of two distinct audiences,” said Howard Lewis, Vice President and Head of Entry Level products at Sony Ericsson. “The T270 and T280 build on the appeal of iconic Sony Ericsson phones like the T610. They are good looking and tick all of the right boxes; whether it’s for the business user wanting a compact work phone or the everyday user looking for a classic, stylish camera phone.”
At home on the catwalk or in the boardroom
The T270 and T280 offer classic pocket-sized style. At less than 13mm slim and built using brushed light metal with a glass finish, they offer premium design without the premium price tag. Take the T280 to the fashion mall and snap a picture of a possible new purchase or use the T270 at work to send a calendar appointment to a colleague via Bluetooth™ technology.
Sony Ericsson T280 – In Touch and In Fashion
Minimum fuss
Fast texting and a simple navigation key to switch-on the FM radio or access your contact list. Easy
access to the 1.3 megapixel camera and just one click to begin writing a new text message.
Maximum exposure
As well as its good looks, the T280 lets you take and send a photo in just a few clicks. Browse through your pictures on the phone’s screen or send them via Bluetooth™ to a friend’s phone.
Multitask effortlessly
Both the T280 and its sister-product, the T270, are compatible with Bluetooth™ Headsets such as the newly announced HBH-PV770. The HBH-PV770 headset sits discretely in your ear and offers remarkably clear audio, even in noisy environments, thanks to its Digital Noise Cancellation and fast Automatic Volume Adjustment features.
Sony Ericsson T270 – With Business in Mind
Your personal assistant
The T270 combines grown-up good looks with a set of features designed to meet the needs of the busy professional. Access key menu functions such as phonebook, calendar or messages with just one touch and use the built-in speakerphone to take a conference call.
Just the job
Both of the phones announced today are designed with a clear audience in mind. For the T270 it is the business user who just wants the essentials done well. It has been purposely developed without a camera to keep things simple and is built with a metal housing and clearly laid out keypad to ensure a robust phone that is easy-to-use.
For whatever reason you need a phone – whether it is for work or just staying in touch with minimum fuss – then Sony Ericsson say that they have a solution with the T270 and T280.
The T270 and T280 will be available in the same colours, Silver on Black and Copper on Silver. They will be available in selected markets from Q1 2008 and will support the following frequencies:

As we already know,
Sony Ericsson is preparing for the
next announcement on the 24th of January and based on that info, new rumors appeared on the Internet speculating which handsets will be announced.
Different ideas are expressed, but basically those rumors are about new Low-End devices from T
series - Sony Ericsson T270 and T280. Difference between those models will be camera аvailability. Both will be equipped with a 128x160 res. display, FM radio, GPRS and bluetooth.
To be honest, more new Low-End handsets doesn't makes me glad. Even if the rumors about the low-end handsets come true, I believe there will be surely one Middle-End and I hope at least one High-End phone. WE NEED SONY ERICSSON P5!!!

As we know, Valentine’s Day is coming and we all must start thinking about presents for our darling ones. Maybe somebody with pleasure and maybe somebody with pressure, but the fact is that we must, I mean if we don't want to meet Valentine’s Day in a loneliness and in principle, not only Valentine’s Day :D.
OK, let's pretend that we got some money and our girlfriend or boyfriend (for girls), loves handsets... But there is so big choice of phones! - You think - Which one shell I choose? (If you really asked this question to yourself, that means you've spent really really little time on her :P) The point is that
Sony Ericsson had taken care of us and is now preparing to release new version of already well known device -
Sony Ericsson T650i in a new color - Precious Gold.

The new sleek exclusive addition to the range has the same stylish attributes as its predecessors but with an opulent addition - an 24 carat gold plating that encases the screen and scratch-resistant mineral glass display making the T650i one of the ultimate luxury icons to own.
With a crisp and clear 1.9-inch screen and a variety of unique light effects that move from the screen to keypad to the back of the phone in seamless waves, the 12.5 mm slim phone demonstrates exquisite attention to detail that will leave you wanting to reach out and touch the phone.
Available in Growing Green, Midnight Blue, Eclipse Black and the newly announced Precious Gold, the Sony Ericsson T650i isn't just a stunning face; it also features intuitive light animations that appear only at special times of the year. Valentine's Day is marked by the subtle integration of amorous hearts into the wallpaper display and as January 1 approaches, a celebratory star burst appears to welcome in the New Year; making personalization into a personal surprise.
And for style-watchers everywhere, the T650i doesn't force you to compromise because it also boasts state-of-the-art technology such as a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus, enhanced browsing capabilities and to ensure a great listening experience, the built-in media player incorporates the latest Bluetooth™ technology so that music can be streamed in stereo directly from phone to a specially created pink and gold headset.
Elie Otaki, Marketing Manager of Sony Ericsson-Middle East and North Africa, said:
The new Sony Ericsson T650i in Precious Gold will appeal to those who appreciate the finer things in life. Our decision to create a phone with real gold plating and rose-coloured casing evolved from a consumer's request for a mobile that was like a piece of her jewellery - glamorous, expensive and exquisite in quality.
A design statement which begs to be noticed, touched, held and owned - the new Sony Ericsson T650i in Precious Gold is a true object of desire.
I wouldn't mind a gift like this one :D
